Sports Competition

On Friday January 11th, Cranleigh students competed in the U9 and U11 ADISSA (Abu Dhabi International Schools Sports Association) games. The games were hosted by Cranleigh Abu Dhabi and Al Yasmina Academy with different schools from across Abu Dhabi competing in athletics, swimming, netball (girls) and football (boys) at each of the venues.

There was a great atmosphere at both venues and all the competitors performed with passion and commitment, with a great sense of sportsmanship. Participants cheered each other on throughout the day, creating an encouraging environment for all students. The U9’s finished 3rd overall and the two U11 teams finished 5th and 3rd respectively. The experience was invaluable for the U11 squad whose focus now turns to the U11 BSME games which takes place later in March.

A bib thank you to all the parents for their enthusiastic support, the staff for all the effort they put into preparing for the games and the pupils who brought such a positive spirit to this wonderful day of sport.
